The list of import prohibitions for Italy is fairly standard in that knives, alcoholic beverages, gambling devices, plants, tobacco and weapons are listed. But there are some notable inclusions such as raw coffee, petroleum oils and human hair. If you are sending items to friends and family in Italy you should be aware that there is a 45 Euro limit before duties are applicable. Also if you are a retailer and are sending purchases into the country, then there may also be duties to be paid by the recipient.
