Watch out for Extra Charges after shipping

Package said expected delivered on 12th, but got delivered on 22nd. First and last time I ship with UPS.
After measuring an envelope with 6 pages and entering a larger weight than the original. Parcel Monkey then charged me an extra $8 that is 18% extra to my card after purchase, claiming that it weighed less. I'm not kidding you. My letters weighed less so Parcel Monkey charged me more after shipping.
Not to mention that the website won't let you enter a smaller weight than 1kg or 1lb. So if you are shipping documents, your weight will always be less and so they will always come back and charge you again. That is simply wrong. The document envelope is a standard charge item, how it gets an extra charge for weight is baffling to me.Parcel Monkey replied on 22/07/2024

Disappointed my mother had to pay an import charge for a delivery to Europe. Maybe I should’ve read the laws myself, but a heads up from the courier would’ve been nice instead she was hassled for another payment without my knowledge.
